ranger krytan gloves
I'm still moderately new, so I would like to know how much I should ask for for ranger krytan gloves. I know the value is much below actual player-to-player trading value, but I would like some help picking a good price.

all armor is obtained from either armor crafters, which require some common or rare materials + gold or from collectors who take items dropped by some monsters in exchange for the armor pieces. All armor is custamized and can only be used by the character it is custamized for

What the poster above me is trying to say is that selling your old armor to other people isn't really worth the effort. No one else can wear it; the most they could hope for is to use a salvage kit on it and hope for some decent materials.
If the merchant will offer you some gold (no matter how little), just take the offer. Otherwise drop it in the trashcan on the right side of the inventory panel. |

I'm actually a girl, but oh well. And I had the gloves, but from a collector, so I was able to sell them. I probably could have gotten a bit more if I waited, but I got 10g and 2 bolts of cloth.

I don't think we can say she ripped them off,I would guess that with her being 'fairly new' she would not know that other players cannot use them, until Deathlyrose says otherwise assume innocent till proven guilty

10g and 2 bolts of cloth isn't exactly "ripping someone off" >_>

I don't know. But IIRC, the collector item armors are not salvageable, so she traded the gloves that can't be used in any way at all...

Collector armor is salvageable, this is why ANet made the L20 collector headgears without +energy when Tyria and Cantha were switched to the insignia system, people had been stocking up and would have had hundreds of radient insignia.

You can sell the gloves yes, BUT no other then you who crafted or traded them at a collector can wear them!
So litterly it's useless to sell armor pices to other players since they can't use them on their characters. All armor pices are costomized (Personal) for just one character! |

Frankly, most people that the change effected were people who would have kept on using their headgear. |

I would say its a rip off. its only 10 gold, but the OP was already told that no one else could use it. not very nice.

Assuming of course that the OP read the thread before selling the items.
